John Treiber has 50 years of insurance experience running the gamut from accounting, data processing, wholesale, personal and commercial lines underwriting, claims management and retail brokerage and marketing. He became an account executive full time in 1980 for The Treiber Group – a third-generation family brokerage firm. He spent his first thirty-four years with that organization and, since 2008, has been with Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, LLC – the worlds’ fourth largest insurance brokerage firm.
Presently he is Area Vice-Chairman of the Jericho, NY office and his duties include an emphasis on maintaining key account relationships, generating new business opportunities and mentoring and supporting the Jerich off staff and producers.
John graduated from North Shore High School in 1968 and from the University of South Carolina in 1978. He carriers a CPCU designation and, over the years, has served on numerous insurance carrier panels including Utica Mutual, Hartford, Chubb, Cigna, One Beacon, Kemper and others.
He has also served the non-profit world in the Long Island community both as a leader, board member and philanthropically for many years. Among the organizations he is involved with are:

John splits his time between Boca Raton, FL and Long Island, NY. He has two adult daughters – Megan & Kimberly.
